Wooden shutters

HAUFEN offers a wide range of shutters in various types and designs, covering every aesthetic and architectural requirement.

Shutters with fixed or movable grille, with decorative panels or with a combination of grille and decorative panels are some of the available designs. At the same time, we have the know-how and the potential to build any other design requested by the customer.

Timber

Grade A’ Malaysian Dark Red Meranti, dried at 9° to 11°C moisture. For some types of shutters, it is imperative to use plywood instead of solid wood in order to achieve optimum durability.

More information about timber available here.

Frame

113 x 72mm solid.

The exact cross section of the frame follows the technical requirements of each project and for this reason we always write the specific cross section we propose from 47/94/113/140/150 etc. in every offer to the customer.

A special shoulder strap in the frame also acts as an infrastructure for positioning the mosquito net mechanism and guides.

We offer shutter frames in custom dimensions according to the technical requirements of each project.

Sash

Solid wood of 44mm thickness (44x80mm or 44x70mm) or A’ grade thick plywood of 40mm thickness for grooved types.

Hardware

The metal parts of the shutter differ in their type, depending on the existing masonry, the opening of the shutters (extending 180º or 90º vertically towards the masonry) as well as the aesthetic preferences of the customer.

HAUFEN uses shutter hardware from Roto/Maco. At the same time, we have optionally available inox stainless steel parts as well as French type traditional hinges.

For all metal parts of the shutters, it is possible to paint them in RAL colours on request.
