Lefkos Stavros – The Athens Clinic

Lefkos Stavros – The Athens Clinic is a private hospital housed in an imposing corner building in Ilisia, where Papadiamantopoulou and G. Sisini streets meet. The façade, with its wrought-iron balconies and vertical rhythm of openings, fronts modern operating theatres and patient rooms.

HAUFEN® made and installed the building's wooden windows and balcony doors. They are two-coloured: outside they follow the light tone of the façade, while inside they are finished in a dark colour that matches the marble and timber of the interiors. The German-type wooden windows have slim profiles and clean proportions, and give the thermal insulation, sound insulation and weather-tightness that a healthcare building in the city centre needs.

At night, with the façade lit, the windows give the building the warm character that suits a welcoming place of care. Inside, the dark frames set off the street view and bring plenty of daylight into the reception, the waiting areas and the patient rooms.
