Moisture usually occurs at the joining points of the window frames in the opening (apron, front panel, side panels) or in the window sill. On the other hand, the problem of airtightness is mainly found at the point where the ply meets the case. Bad design, low quality raw materials and lack of know-how are some of the main reasons for this imperfect behavior of the windows.<\/p>\n<p>It is well known that most of the heat exchange in a building is happening through the glass panes, and to a lesser extent through the case and plys. Wooden windows show much better thermal insulation properties than metal and synthetic.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><\/div><!--close column table wrapper. The gap between double glazing also plays a serious role when the distance between the crystals is small (14 mm).
