This means that the wood burns at a very slow rate. The most important feature of wood in the field of fire protection is that when the outer part of the cross-section is burned, its interior does not lose its mechanical strength. Wood was a lower heat capacity than concrete and steel. In winter, wood &#8220;traps&#8221; the heat in the room and allows for heating it up faster, while in the summer it works inversely, thus it dissipates the heat from the environment resulting in keeping the house cool, ensuring up to 30% savings in heating and cooling.
