Mosquito nets are now an essential accessory for windows and balcony doors.
HAUFEN® works with the largest makers of mosquito nets and offers every type, fitted to our windows from the start.
Built into the wooden frame
We do not simply offer a net: we have designed a special slot in the wooden frame of our windows.
Whatever its type, the net is fully functional and reliable, and only the minimum metal parts of its mechanism stay visible, so the traditional look of wooden windows and balcony doors is kept.
All nets on HAUFEN® windows are delivered with their aluminium parts painted in the colour of the windows, for a perfect colour match.
Vertical roller net
With a braking mechanism as it rolls up.
- Wind brush in the guides for extra wind resistance.
- Galvanised spring that stands up to humidity, salt air and other weather.
- Flat net in Light Grey.
- Plastic parts in glass-reinforced polyamide, unaffected by water, humidity, heat or sun.
Mainly used on windows up to 150cm wide. The aluminium side guides and box are painted in the colour of the window and sit inside the special wooden slot of the HAUFEN® frame.
Horizontal plissé net with low guide
In a cassette, and it stays put at any point for easy passage.
Used on balcony doors or wide windows, up to 190cm as a single net, and up to 6 metres wide in combinations (double, two-way and so on).
The non-flammable, very strong polyethylene plissé net gives excellent protection and comes in black or grey. With Vectran cords running through it, it stands up to strong wind and frequent daily use: ideal for windy places such as the Greek islands.
It glides on a bottom guide only 7mm high that you hardly notice when walking through, stops anywhere and closes with a magnet or brush.
The mechanism and net sit in a cassette that unclips from the frame in one move, for cleaning, storage or service, without a technician.
Horizontal zig zag net with crawler
In a cassette, and it stays put at any point for easy passage.
Used on balcony doors up to 180cm as a single net, and up to 6 metres wide in combinations (double, two-way and so on). This type can take a flat net instead of plissé.
- Runs on a crawler mechanism, with no guide on the floor.
- Strong flat grey fiberglass net that does not rot or burn.
- Stops at any point.
- Much better visibility than a plissé net.
Other types
- Fixed, for small windows where a mechanism is not needed or will not fit.
- Hinged (American type), for entrance doors.
- Motorised, for windows with special requirements.
