Mosquito nets & iron grids: technical specifications
The general technical specifications of HAUFEN® mosquito nets and iron grids.
Mosquito nets
HAUFEN® wooden windows are technically compatible with every type of mosquito net on the market. The frames have a special slot so that the mechanism and guides of the net are fully built into the wood, for a clean look and reliable operation. The two main types:
- Vertical
- Aluminium box and guides in white or brown, classic mesh, with or without a brake. Mainly fitted to windows, also to balcony doors; not suitable for very wide openings. Can be painted in RAL colours or wood effects.
- Horizontal
- Aluminium box and guides in white or brown, classic or plissé mesh, cassette mechanism (easy to remove and refit) on a crawler or a low guide. Very resistant to strong wind, a wide range of sizes for wide openings, and easy to open and close often, especially on balcony doors. Can be painted in RAL colours or wood effects.
Iron grids
- Window security grids
- Fixed, with an extra solid varnished frame of 47 x 72mm, drilled on the pantograph according to the design, and Ø16mm steel bars running through it vertically and horizontally. Painted black or in any RAL colour, and can be specially treated, e.g. artificially aged. Also available in stainless steel for high corrosion resistance.
- Decorative entrance door grids
- Also fixed, hand-forged from solid 4 x 12mm iron, in many designs. Doors with a grid have a special rebate in the wood where the grid frame is screwed on. Painted in various colours and can be specially treated. Also made in stainless steel.
