Mosquito nets
Mosquito nets are nowadays a necessary accessory for windows and balcony doors.
HAUFEN® works with the largest manufacturers of nets and offers all types of systems and incorporates them at the production line.
Our company does not simply offer a net. We have designed and implemented a special slot on the wooden frame of our windows.
The net, which will be mounted -no matter the type- is fully functional and reliable, while only a few of the required metal parts of the mechanism are visible.
Our nets does not alter the traditional aesthetics of wooden windows and balcony doors.
All the nets that come with HAUFEN®’s windows are delivered with the aluminium parts painted in the colour of the windows, in order to achieve colour compatibility.
The most commonly used types of mosquito nets are the following:

Windscreen brush at the guides for extra wind resistance.

Galvanised spring for unique resistance to weather conditions such as humidity, salt etc.

Net in Light Gray colour.

Plastic parts made of glass-reinforced polyamides which are resistant to water, moisture, heat or sun.
They are mainly used at windows with maximum width of 150cm. The aluminium guides and the enclosure are painted in the colour of the window and are “digested” in the special wooden net holder of the HAUFEN® frame.

with the ability to stabilise the net at any point for easy passing through.
These nets are used on balcony doors or large windows, with dimensions up to 190cm single-sided or in combinations with section joints. As double-sided, two-sided, etc. these nets can cover up to 6 meters in width.
They provide very practical and reliable operation.
The use of non-flammable and extremely high-strength polyethylene plisse net offers excellent mosquito protection. The net is available in black and grey colour.

The plisse net, combined with Vectran cords, provides unlimited resistance to strong winds and frequent everyday use, making the net ideal for areas with strong winds such as the Greek islands.

The net moves easily on a small low profile guide that reaches 7mm, offering easy passage. It stops at any point we leave it and closes with a magnet or brush.

The entire mechanism of the mosquito net and its cloth are integrated into a case which, with its special plastic fasteners, enables the user to remove it from the frame for cleaning, storage or shipping for service with only one move.

They are used in balcony doors with dimensions of up to 180cm single-sided. In combinations with section joints and as double-sided, bilateral, etc. can cover up to 6 meters in width. In this type of horizontal screen we can use a flat net instead of Plisse.
